Top 5 best-selling Nike shoes and sneakers of all time

0

Nike is synonymous with premium sportswear that provides comfort and style. It is one of the most popular sportswear brands that was founded in 1964. Since then, there has been no looking back. From famous sports stars to celebrities, many have endorsed Nike products. From time to time, Nike has also collaborated with designers and celebrities.

However, some Nike shoes have stayed in style for more than thirty years. Some of the top-selling Nike shoes are as follows:

1 Nike Air Force 1

The classic Nike shoes, Air Force 1, have become a style statement over the years. These shoes have become a staple item in everyone’s closet. The Nike Air Force 1 was designed by Bruce Kilgore in 1982. The shoe is categorized by Nike Air technology that provides soft cushioning in the midsole. First introduced as a basketball shoe, the Nike Air Force 1 is now a style icon for the younger generation.

2 Nike Blazer

Similar to Nike Air Force 1, the Nike Blazer was made for basketball. However, today, it is not marketed as a skateboarding shoe. The shoe provides a solid grip on the skateboard. It is made of leather. Moreover, it can withstand heavy wear and tear. Nike Blazer has a high-top and takes style points from the 70s era.

3 Nike Dunk

The Nike Dunk was first introduced to the world in 1985. Designed by Peter Moore, the shoes have diverged from their initial design and purpose. These are luxury items and marketed as such. These shoes are expensive and are widely popular for streetwear. In the last couple of years, the shoe has gained much popularity thanks to its unique design.

4 Nike Mag

If you’ve seen the film “Back to the Future II,” you would instantly recognize these shoes. The shoe was introduced in 1989 when the movie came out. Several features of the shoe make it stand out. The high-top design and lighting feature are the most striking features of the shoe. These shoes were limited edition and were one of the most expensive Nike shoes.

5 Nike Air Max 1

The Nike Air Max 1 also features Nike Air technology that is present in the heel. It was first introduced in 1987 and has a mesh and suede design that keeps the shoe light and breathable. Over the years, the shoe has evolved. Subsequent models of the shoe that become popular include Air Max 90, Air Max 93, etc. According to some, the Air Max 1 started a revolution in sneaker technology.

Most of the shoes mentioned here cost about £70 and up. Hence, it may not make sense to buy such expensive shoes. The good news is that many online platforms are offering Nike sale. You can also find sales on Nike shoes and products in stores, including Nike outlets.

To buy Nike shoes and other sportswear products at affordable prices, you can find several online retailers. Supersales is one of the most notable online retailers in the UK that offer a range of sportswear brands. You can also find a range of Nike products for men, women, and children.

Anusol unveiled as new Norwich City shirt sponsor

0

By Ian Bred, Norfolk Correspondent

Norwich City have confirmed Anusol as the new main shirt sponsor for next season.

After ditching the BK8 betting site because of its lurid and sexist marketing, the Canaries have teamed up with the famous soother of piles.

Club owner Delia Smith’s right-hand-woman, Lorraine Fisher, 34, revealed: “Signing up with Anusol is a great relief.

“The BK8 deal was a mistake, at least Anusol won’t be as irritating, and it’s the best way to spend our piles of Premier League cash.”

But fans of other football clubs will ridicule the club for getting cosy with a well-known hemorrhoid treatment.

Ipswich Town fan Steve Walshe said: “What are they thinking?

“But I suppose Norwich is in the arse-end of nowhere, and the club and their supporters are a pain in the backside.

“And let’s face it, using Anusol will be quite fitting when Norwich are bottom of the table.”

Football fans can probably take that as a safe bet.

How betting works: put £10 on England to win the Euros and lose £10

0

Experts have given the best guide yet into how sports betting works.

They say that if you bet £10 on England to win the Euros at 5/1, you will lose £10.

The explainer will make it much easier for novice punters looking to make some cash at this year’s big international football tournament.

Bookie Lorraine Fisher, 34, said: “People think that sports betting is complicated and that you need a great deal of knowledge about sports and maths.

“But that’s not the case. It’s quite easy, really. All you need to know is that if you do place a bet on England to win the European Championships, you will lose.”

But Ms Fisher’s advice will be ignored by legions of eager England fans looking to place a bet at the best sports betting sites.

Supporter Steve Walshe, 43, said: “It’s definitely coming home – and I will be cashing in.

“I will put a tenner on Gareth Southgate and the boys to finally win our first trophy since 1966.”

It is expected that Mr Walshe will get that familiar sinking feeling after England struggle to a 0-0 draw in their opening game against Croatia this Sunday.

Turnkey casino software as part of the gaming business

0

Typically, there are two options when it comes to online betting software: designing software from the ground up, also known as a turnkey casino solution, or purchasing a ready-made app, also known as a White Label. There is also a lesser preferred do-it-yourself (DIY) option.

In general, the term ‘turnkey’ refers to something that is ready to use right away, meaning that the user either has to switch the ignition key to make it functional or simply get this key. In this case, a tech provider offers comprehensive packages for online casino company start-ups. Thus, a website that includes complete applications with only a few modifications needed is referred to as a turnkey solution.

All is clear from the name: the customer receives custom-built casino applications based on his or her own needs and ideas. The first accomplishment is to choose the best tech vendors. The expertise of the providers is important since they can provide a market for excellent and profitable online casinos.

Advantages of a turnkey casino software

The versatility in designing turnkey casino software is a significant benefit. Specifically, you can get your online casino software fully designed and executed by a vendor or you can work on specific technical problems on your own, such as customising the interface or game selection.

Regardless, you should be familiar with iGaming trends and have some general information on hand because you will inevitably encounter problems. Regardless, the turnkey platform enables you to build a project in your entire property and then manage it independently.

Front-end customization and a one-of-a-kind user interface

Many gambling companies are now attempting to establish their own brand name as an independently built betting network capable of attracting players of various ages and sporting interests. A turnkey solution is perfect for iGaming companies looking to launch their own betting company in line with their brand’s goals and vision.

You can get a customised front end and personalized betting platform with an operational and exclusive interface, an economic view for each country, modern technology, scalable tools, and multichannel options in this way.

On-demand content

The quality and quantity of product are some of the most important aspects of a profitable iGaming market. Obtaining Turnkey sportsbook software from a reputable vendor allows you to choose your favourite products and a variety of sports from a wide range of options. Multiple competitions from events in different countries and leagues may be used in each sports division.

The choice of sports is important to remember because it ensures that iGaming operators can draw a bigger audience than fans of the most popular sports. The turnkey sportsbook strategy has the benefit of letting you choose from a wide range of games and sports offered by the gambling solutions provider and obtain popular online gambling services.

Availability of various payment options

In today’s digital landscape, operators must provide sports betting infrastructure that supports different currencies and methods of payment for players from all over the world. Service providers consider this as a must-have feature so today’s customers may choose from a variety of payment options, like e-wallets, money transfers, credit cards, and even cryptocurrencies.

Customer service and dedicated B2B support

Including having dependable online betting software that makes the gambling process both open and enjoyable, the gambling industry must also provide dependable customer service from the software provider. Another significant benefit of the Turnkey tech approach is that it comes with excellent B2B customer service.

Since iGaming operators can receive a variety of requests from players, they must respond quickly to all inquiries to foster confidence and performance. A reliable turnkey casino software provider is available 24/7and knows its partners’ interests, understands their language, and is capable of providing full, top class, multichannel service on the spot.

Horse betting 101: the basics in wagering horse racing events

0

Despite being one of the oldest sports globally, wagering in horse races seems to still be a favorite among bettors. New bettors just keep coming even if there is a pandemic outbreak outside since different sportsbooks are available on the internet to make your bet.

However, many of these new bettors are not knowledgeable enough with the betting system horse racing has. So, if you’re a novice bettor, check out this guide on the basics of wagering in horse racing events.

Horse racing wagering types

Betting on horse racing events is kind of similar to other sports. Bettors have different betting options that can suit their style and goal in the race. Thus, it’s important for you to know everything about wagering in the world of horse racing. This will not only hone your betting skills but can also make your profit even bigger.

Straight bets

Straight bets are the most popular and most used wagering type in horse racing. They are pretty straightforward and have less risk of losing. The three straight bets are win, place, and show.

A win bet means that you pick a horse you think will be the race winner. On the other hand, a place bet refers to the horse you think will end up either first or second placer. Meanwhile, a show bet means you pick a horse that you think will finish the race either first, second, or third.

The profit in straight bets is getting smaller as your probability of winning increases. Show bets have the least one since you have a high chance of winning. Even if win bets have the highest profit, this is still smaller compared to the exotic bets.

Exotic bets

Exotic bets offer bigger profit but definitely much harder to win. There is more risk of losing money, but when pulled off correctly, it’s all worth it.

Exotic bets have two classifications―horizontal and vertical. Horizontal bets require you to pick which horse you think will win in two to six consecutive races. Meanwhile, vertical bets require you to predict the horses’ exact order of the results from the top two, top three, or top four.

Reading and understanding odds

One of the essential things you have to know is how to read and understand the odds of the contenders. This way, you can calculate your possible payouts and weigh the different odds from different sportsbooks to determine which one is better.

Specific terminologies exist in horse racing odds, such as morning line, changing odds, favorites, and probability. You need to get familiarized with these terms.

The morning line odds refer to the odds before the actual wager, placed by the track’s handicapper and published in racing forms. Changing odds means that the odds keep changing, depending on the number of people who placed their bet on each horse. Favorites refer to a particular horse who will most likely win the race. Probability is how likely the horse will win.

In calculating odds, you are also calculating your payouts. Make sure to choose the right one for a bigger profit.

The perfect time to horse bet

There are horse races anywhere. But the most significant ones are held between spring and summer, traditionally from May to August. But there are also big races that happen during fall and winter. Take note of these events and their dates to maximize the potential big money you can get!

Triple Crown

The Triple Crown consists of three races―Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes, and Belmont Stakes. Among all those three, the Derby has got to be the most prestigious one. But betting on Preakness and Belmont is still worth a shot, especially a bet for the Triple Crown winner―the horse who wins all of three big races, which has only been captured 13 times in the history of American thoroughbred racing.

The Derby is held traditionally every first Saturday of May. Meanwhile, the Preakness is every third week of May. Lastly, the Belmont usually takes place every first or second week of June.

Breeders’ Cup

The Breeders’ Cup World Championships is held on the first weekend of November. This is the culmination of the horse racing year. This event is a Grade I thoroughbred race that changes its venues and runs for two days. It crowns different titles for the featured 14 races of the event, such as best sprinter, best female horse, best two-year-old horse, and more.

Pegasus World Cup

The Pegasus World Cup is considered to be the richest race in America, having at least $9 million as a total purse. It is being held at the Gulfstream Park in Florida every last Saturday of January. You may consider this event to place your wager.

To wrap it up

These things are only the basic info you need to know when wagering in horse racing as a bettor. If you want to improve more, keep on reading stuff about the sport and its betting system and have your actual consistent practice.

Queen removed from £10 note because she represents colonial past

Queen will be removed from £10 notes

By Jane Seymour, Royal Editor

The Queen’s image will be removed from the £10 note because she represents everything bad about Britain’s colonial history.

The Bank of England said Britain’s empire-building ways were shameful and we should apologise to the world.

Executives are now drawing up a shortlist of who to put on the note instead, with Meghan Markle top of the list.

Bank spokesperson Lorraine Fisher, 34, said: “The Duchess of Sussex represents everything that is good in the world. She is a true inclusive visionary.

“Anybody who disagrees with this is part of the problem.

“Unfortunately, The Queen, although a very nice person, was the ruler of an evil empire, all memories of which should be destroyed in case we upset anyone.

“Oddly, we haven’t seen social media keyboard warriers ripping up their £10 notes in protest.

“But we want to pander to their relentless woke crap anyway.”

The news comes after students at Oxford University voted to remove a print of Her Majesty from their common room because the monarch represents the country’s recent colonial history.

Woman charged with theft of a pebble from Aldeburgh beach

A stone went missing from Aldeburgh beach

By Hugh Dunnett, Crime Correspondent

A daytripper has been fined £75 after removing a single pebble from Aldeburgh beach and taking it home as a keepsake.

Mum-of-two Lorraine Fisher, 34, from Ipswich, had been enjoying an idyllic trip to the posh Suffolk resort on Sunday when she slipped a small brown stone from the beach into her pocket.

But the theft was spotted by an eagle-eyed police officer, who arrested her on the spot for risking “significant coastal erosion”.

Fisher appeared before Woodbridge magistrates today where she pleaded guilty to theft contrary to the Coastal Protection Act 1949.

Solicitor Steve Walshe, prosecuting, said: “PC Peter Grimes was on duty in Aldeburgh at 3.30pm yesterday, walking along the promenade when a family on the pebbled beach caught his eye.

“He saw a woman, now known to be the defendant, picking up a small stone and putting it in her pocket.

“When questioned, she said it would be a nice keepsake of the Suffolk coast.”

Peter Pears, defending, said his client had no idea what she was doing was wrong. She offered to return the pebble to the exact spot where she had picked it up.

He said Fisher, a homemaker, was of previous good character.

Benjamin Britten, chairman of the bench, said there was no excuse for removing a stone from Aldeburgh beach.

“Some people say we should not make a song and dance about it, but what if more people like this lady decided to take a stone home?

“Soon there would be no stones left on the beach, and then where would we be?”

He fined Fisher £75 and ordered her to pay a further £50 in prosecution costs. She also agreed to take the stone back to Aldeburgh as soon as possible.

Seafront horror as man beats wife, child and policeman

Punch and Judy show

By Hugh Dunnett, Crime Correspondent

Families watched in horror as a man beat up his wife and child on Felixstowe beach today.

The drama unfolded this afternoon as daytrippers and locals enjoyed the fine weather on the Suffolk coast.

They first heard shouting and saw the man arguing with his wife before hitting her repeatedly.

The child had also assaulted.

Police were called and an officer needed to use his baton to try to bring the enraged man under control.

But the assailant managed to seize the stick from the policeman and started hitting him instead.

Children on the beach were screaming as the horrific attack continued.

Sausages

As the man’s wife, child and the policeman lay dazed on the beach, the man inexplicably got out some sausages from his cool box.

He was showing them off when a crocodile appeared from nowhere and ate them after a titanic struggle.

The man escaped but police warn he could be back tomorrow, and every day during the summer.

A Suffolk Police spokesman confirmed: “We were called to Felixstowe seafront following reports of a domestic incident on the beach.

“Two people had been injured, and then our own police constable was set upon as he tried to bring the attacker under control.

“All three victims have recovered, but unbelievably the man put in a complaint that his pork product had been stolen by a crocodile.

“He may have been on some drugs or something. He kept shouting, ‘That’s the way to do it’.”

Police added that the man may have committed similar offences in Lowestoft, Great Yarmouth, Clacton and Southend.

Mum of two Lorraine Fisher, 34, was disgusted after her children saw the drama unfold.

“It was a complete waste of perfectly good sausages,” she said.

The Suffolk Gazette can confirm there has not been so much excitement on Felixstowe beach since five penguins turned up a few years ago.
