Boing 737 trampoline lands successfully at Heathrow

A trampoline pilot was praised today for landing safely at Heathrow Airport in near-hurricane force winds.

Lorraine Fisher, 34, was flying the Boing 737 from Suffolk to London as Storm Eunice caused havoc across the country.

But as airline pilots struggled in the conditions, with many having to “go around” to try again, Ms Fisher skillfully landed on the runway.

Onlookers applauded wildly as the trampoline landed remarkably straight despite horrendous crosswinds.

Other trampolines were not quite so lucky, ending up in trees and train tracks.

A spokesperson for the Boing Pilots Association said: “It was a masterclass in piloting.”
