Meghan Markle created the Euro Super League, says Daily Mail

0

The Duchess of Sussex is the brains behind the formation of the Euro Super League, the Daily Mail has revealed.

The paper says Meghan came up with the idea for an elite football competition to be screened exclusively on Netflix under the broadcast rights of her company, Archewell.

Her cunning plan has the added benefit of upsetting her brother-in-law Prince William, who is President of the English Football Association.

Meghan told friends Prince Harry is a rugby fan and does not understand football.

Californian business insider Lorraine Fisher, 34, told the Daily Mail: “If football fans were already upset by the Euro Super League plan, wait until they find out Meghan is behind it.

“Everything that is wrong with the world is Meghan’s fault, so it is really no surprise to see she is the architect of football’s downfall.”

Six English clubs, Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham had announced they will be joining the elite European competition, and expect to earn hundreds of million of pounds a year.

Ipswich Town, a club that has won the league championship more recently than Tottenham, and won a better European trophy than Arsenal or Manchester City, turned down an offer to join the Euro Super League.

Instead, the Suffolk club insisted it was quite happy where it was in Super League One.

League champions and European cup winners turn down Super League spot

One of England’s most successful clubs has sensationally turned down an invitation to join football’s new breakaway Super League.

Ipswich Town have won the top division more recently than Tottenham and lifted a more important European trophy than Arsenal.

The Suffolk side is also undefeated in 31 home European ties, eclipsing other teams in the money-grabbing proposed Euro Super League.

With a proud record, it was no surprise the leading team in East Anglia was asked to join the other six English teams in the new Super League, announced to a fanfare of anger yesterday.

But the club dramatically turned down the offer, slamming it as shameful greed at the expense of loyal football fans up and down the country.

Spokesperson Lorraine Fisher, 34, said: “The six clubs of Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal are an absolute disgrace.

“Arsenal can’t even get in the top half of the Premier League. OK, Ipswich are struggling to remain in the top half of League One, but at least we have a proud football record at home and abroad.”

Former Ipswich boss Sir Bobby Robson, who went on to manage England, once summed up what football really means to the fans, and it couldn’t be further from the greedy Super League plan.

He said: “What is a club in any case? Not the buildings or the directors or the people who are paid to represent it. It’s not the television contracts, get-out clauses, marketing departments or executive boxes. It’s the noise, the passion, the feeling of belonging, the pride in your city. It’s a small boy clambering up stadium steps for the very first time, gripping his father’s hand, gawping at that hallowed stretch of turf beneath him and, without being able to do a thing about it, falling in love.”

The enviable Ipswich record reads:

  • Ipswich won the top-flight league title under Sir Alf Ramsey in 1962, just one year after winning promotion
  • Ipswich lifted the UEFA Cup under Sir Bobby Robson in 1981
  • In 31 European matches, Ipswich have never lost at home, winning 25 and drawing six
  • Those victories included scalps like Barcelona, Real Madrid, Intern Milan and AC Milan – all, ironically, members of the new Super League

In more recent times, Ipswich have risen to the dizzy heights of securing a 0-0 draw at home to Northampton.

Because the club celebrates fair play, it has allowed small neighbour Norwich City to take some of the limelight in recent seasons.

Royal 2-3-2-2 formation looks short on goals

By Jane Seymour, Royal Editor

The Royal Family formation looks short on goals, with only Princess Anne up front and Prince Charles unsuited to the Number 10 role.

Fans were surprised by the line-up, although it does have a strong defensive midfield with Princes William and Harry, partnered by Peter Phillips.

But supporters are worried by the lack of creativity up front, and suggested maybe a football tactics book from Amazon.

Football fan Lorraine Fisher, 34, said: “I don’t mind Princess Anne up front on her own. She is a clinical finisher and sharp as a needle.

“But why oh why has the boss put Prince Charles just behind her in the crucial Number 10 role?

“He has no pace and is well past his best. This position only works if he is supported by two attacking wide men with pace and good crossing ability.

“Yet here we have Prince Edward, who has never scored, and Prince Andrew on the right side, who is more used to playing with the Under 18s.

“The midfield base is okay – William and Harry are highly competitive. But I am concerned about Sir Tim Laurence and The Earl of Snowdon in central defence.

“They are not too strong in the air and the Earl looks far too deep, raising questions about his positional sense.”

Some critics said it was a shame there was no place in the team for Markle, whose trickery had left many opponents in a state.

How online gambling works

0

Online gambling still appears like a comparatively “new” thing to us, although it over 20 years ago when it began. Gambling is diverse today than it was when it first started. World gambling statistics show that around 26% of the population gamble. That means around 1.6 billion people worldwide gamble and 4.2 billion gamble a minimum of once per annum.

There are many differences in the industry as compared to its initial era. Particularly in the matter of the relevant laws and the way it is governed. The standard and quality are much better than before. It is nearly impossible to recognise the early sites when compared with leading sites of today. Almost everything operates the same way in online gambling as it did back in the mid-1990s. However, people are reluctant to gamble online because they think that it is difficult and complicated.

Gambling Sites

Online gambling is expedited by gambling sites. Like several others, these websites can be accessed by clicking on a link or typing the relevant address into a browser. These sites are designed with advanced software that is often built-in but in some cases, we need to download it separately as it is considered as the main part of any gambling site. Gambling offered by the sites varies, some sites offer multiple forms of gambling, while others are specified.

These are the most known four types of gambling that work in the online environment.

  • Sports Betting
  • Casino Games
  • Poker
  • Daily Fantasy Sports

Online Gambling is very easy for the people who gamble almost every day but for those who rarely gamble, the process is complicated respectively. Following are three things required to use these gambling sites and bet or play for money.

  • A computer or a device with internet access.
  • An account.
  • Money.

It is impossible to access any website without an internet connection and a device. These are the necessities for using a gambling site. After accessing a website, you have to provide a few personal details to sign up. With the end of this process, it’s time to make a deposit. Mostly, People use debit or credit cards for deposits, as it is the easiest way. You have to enter the details of the respective card and once funds will be transferred to your account you will be all set to go.

Funds

The money for online gambling can come from credit cards, electronic checks, certified checks, money orders, wire transfers, or cryptocurrencies. People deposit funds, play a variety of games and make bets to get the winning amount. Funds are deposited directly by the debit or credit card and cash out the winning amount back in the card

Legal Gambling

Online gambling falls into a legal grey area. It is not legal in most of the U.S. Offices and servers of online casinos are placed in countries other than the U.S because it is extrajudicial to operate a website within the U.S.

There are about 70 countries that allow online gambling sites to set up shop, including Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, and some provinces of Canada. These countries have strict rules and regulations to make sure that casinos are working legitimately. They strictly check that players get their payments without any hurdle. Casinos must follow the guidelines.

Because of the questions, arise on the legality of gambling things get difficult for the players within the United States and other locations where gambling is not allowed. Because the banks of the United States did not allow money transactions from any gambling site.

London Underground introduces First Class carriages

By Casey Jones, Railways Correspondent

London Underground is introducing luxurious first-class carriages so well-heeled commuters do not need to mix with common riff-raff.

While normal Londoners must squash into packed sweaty and smelly carriages, toffs can enjoy their trip through the capital in an ornate carriage with comfy leather chairs, like the one advertised below, and a fully-stocked bar.

A man in a crisp white jacket will recharge glasses and serve fine sandwiches and canapes to passengers.

The news was revealed exclusively to the Suffolk Gazette after an alert reader spotted a sign at Holborn station this evening.

First-class carriages

While anyone with money will enjoy the new posh commuting experience, to be introduced first on the Central Line, not everyone is happy, describing it as elitist and Victorian in nature.

City worker Lorraine Fisher, 34, was furious: “Traveling on the Tube when it’s busy is difficult enough, but knowing these snobs in the next carriage are lounging around quaffing champagne is too much.

“One first-class carriage will take around 20 people at most, meaning less space for the rest of us squished together 150 at a time.

“I really think London Underground should do a u-turn.”

But bosses are not likely to back down. They had intended a grand announcement next week, with the first luxury carriage officially opened by Jacob Rees-Mogg.

But the sign spotted by our reader today was put up early in error, letting the cat out of the bag.

A London Underground insider said: “The bosses are furious this has got out early, but fair play to the Suffolk Gazette for getting the scoop. The service will start on Central Line trains and then move to the Circle Line, where passengers will be able to go round and round until they’ve finished at the bar.”

First-class carriages were removed from the London Underground network in 1940 after the outbreak of World War Two. But now things have calmed down a bit, they are to make a sensational return.

It’s not the first time this newspaper has broken a top tube-related story. A few years ago, we were the first to reveal a new Anglian Line would run underground from Suffolk to London.

However, some people now believe this story was simply the work of a creative Ipswich copywriter.

Ipswich manager Paul Cook given new company car by US owners

This sleek machine has been given to Ipswich Town manager Paul Cook to use on company business.

The US-themed tractor will soon be seen zooming across Britain’s motorway network as Cook scouts opposition and players.

Ipswich Town, known as the Tractor Boys, were taken over by a US consortium last week, with the new owners expected to plough millions into getting the team promoted back into the Championship, and then the Premier League.

Cook and his team will sow the seeds for future success and then the club and its long-suffering supporters can reap the rewards by enjoying top-flight football.

The boss’ new company vehicle was spotted at the Ipswich training ground today, ahead of the team’s trip to Wimbledon this evening at, appropriately enough, Plough Lane.

Vehicle leasing expert Lorraine Fisher, 34, said: “We were engaged by a US corporate pension fund to source a tractor for an employee in the UK.

“It had to be decked out in the colours of the US flag.

“We found the perfect match and shipped it to Suffolk over the weekend.”

However, Mr Cook has already spotted a potential flaw with his new company vehicle.

A club insider said: “It has no roof and the gaffer will get cold and wet each time he hits the road in the English climate.”

Drinkers catch hypothermia as pub gardens reopen for business

Pub customers return

England’s pubs reopened for business after lockdown today, leaving thousands of customers frozen to death in their gardens.

Regulars were looking forward to their first pint in three months but many had not dressed for the unseasonably cold weather.

Snow and icy winds left many boozers suffering from hypothermia, while scotch eggs were frozen solid.

Two customers in Ipswich, Jonathan Snow and Samuel Tarly, wore clothing suited to chilly conditions but still got freezing cold when they sat outside the King’s Head.

Mr Snow said: “I’ve been through quite a few cold trips in The North but this was a real trial today. Still, it was great being back in the pub, apart from the grumpy woman behind the bar.

“She was a dragon.”

Public health expert Lorraine Fisher, 34, said she and colleagues were worried.

“We may have got coronavirus under control, which allowed us to open pub gardens and shops again.

“But now we are expected an epidemic of influenza.”

Marcus Evans takes over Norwich City

0

By Ian Bred, Norfolk Correspondent

Former Ipswich Town owner Marcus Evans is the surprise new majority shareholder at Norwich City Football Club.

Mr Evans sold Ipswich to a US investment fund today, ending years of decline that have left the club in its worst position in 60 years.

While Ipswich fans were already celebrating his departure, there was even better news to come – Mr Evans now controls the fortunes of their arch-rivals after buying up Delia Smith’s Carrow Road shareholding.

It is fitting that Norwich enjoyed a season highlight last night, beating Huddersfield 7-0 to cement their position at the top of the Championship – because it will all be downhill from here.

Meanwhile, the rejuvenated Tractor Boys will grab promotion from League 1 and then launch an assault on the Championship to return to the Premier League for the first time in nearly 20 years.

Supporter Lorraine Fisher, 34, said: “It’s brilliant news that Evans has sold up at last – and even better news that he has now used the cash to invest in Norwich. We fully expect them to now go into a tailspin.

“We wish Norwich fans good fortune under Marcus Evans. They’re going to need it.”
